God promises to tell us remarkable secrets

Jeremiah 33:3 NLT
Steps on your journey to understand God’s promises:
- Do you like secrets? What about really incredible secrets?
- God says all we have to do is to ask Him and He’ll reveal His remarkable secrets, that we don’t know about things that are to come.
- Notice how verse 2 describes the Lord, who told us to ask Him: Jeremiah 33:2 (NLT): “This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord.”
- What does Matthew 7:7 (ESV) add? “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
- What do these verses tell you about asking?
Mark 11:24 (NIV): “whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
John 14:14 (NIV): “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
- What does Luke 8:10 (NIV) say about secrets? Jesus said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’”
- What do you want to know about the future? Ask the Lord to reveal to you what He wants you to know. There are things I don’t want to know. If we knew everything about the future, we might be tempted to give up.
A Prayer for You
God, thank you for your promise that when I ask you, you will tell me remarkable secrets that I don’t know about things to come. You are the one who knows all the secrets. Show me what you want me to see about what is to come. Open my eyes to recognize what you are showing me.
This is excerpted from a devotional I’m writing on God’s promises. I’d love any help on the title for the book. It will start: The Surprising Joy of _______.
