God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. – 1 Timothy 6:15

Some things you can do today with God’s name

  • 1 Timothy 1:17 tells us that God is invisible. This verse tells us that no one has seen Him or can see Him. What do you think this means? Couple that with Exodus 33:11 that says that Moses spoke to God face to face. How could Moses speak to Him face to face, if no one can see Him? If this is a mystery to you, ask Him to reveal it to you.
  • If no one can see God, does that mean that we won’t see Him even when we get to heaven? Ask the Lord to show you what this name means. Again, we need to ask Him to give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we will know Him better (Ephesians 1:17).
  • The end of 1 Timothy 6:15 says, “To him be honor and might forever. Amen.” Take some time today to give God honor and ascribe to Him might. He is worthy.
