This is what the LORD says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” – Isaiah 43:16-19

Some things you can do today with God’s name

  • God is bigger than our problems or our enemies. He can draw them out, destroy them, extinguish them and snuff them out like a wick. Think about that.
  • Who are our real enemies? I know sometimes it looks like people are our enemies, but they are not our main enemies. See Ephesians 6:12. Satan and his demons are the real enemies. Ask the Lord to snuff out your enemy. He can and will, but sometimes He waits for us to ask Him or to partner with Him. We have the authority to bind the enemy in Jesus’ name.
  • In Matthew 18:18 Jesus says, “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Jesus gave you that authority. Use it!
