And now the Lord says—he who formed me in the womb to be his servant… for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God has been my strength. – Isaiah 49:5 NIV

Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately

  • God personally formed you when you were in your mother’s womb. Think about that.
  • Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
  • When you are tempted to complain about your appearance or something else about yourself, remember that you are complaining about God’s creation—His masterpiece.
  • Consider God’s unimaginable attention to the smallest detail. Your complete set of DNA contains about 3 billion base pairs of chromosomes and the total length of your DNA equals nearly 70 trips from the earth to the sun and back! Isn’t that amazing?!
  • God created you to be His servant. Ask the Lord to show you what that means for your life.
  • Thank God for creating your unique DNA.

A Prayer for You

Thank You, Lord, that You created me when I was in my mother’s womb. You created me to be Your masterpiece. I’m perfect just the way You created me. Forgive me for complaining about what I’m like. Show me why You created me to be Your servant.
