Some things you can do today with God’s name

  • Fear means reverence and standing in awe of someone in an exalted position.
  • What is the difference between the fear of the Lord, and the kind of fear that the Scriptures often tell us not to have? Isaiah 43:1 says, “But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’”
  • What do Proverbs 2:1-11 and 1 Peter 1:17 add about the fear of the Lord?
  • Ask the Lord to show you what it means to fear Him. Based on what He shows you, is there anything you need to change in your life?
  • Ask Him to release the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord on you today.
