Name of God: Holy Spirit, Who Is a Deposit Guaranteeing Our Inheritance

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. – Ephesians 1:13-14

Some things you can do today with God’s name

• When you buy a house, you have to put a deposit down saying you will buy the house. In the same way God put a deposit in us to remind us of our future. God’s deposit though is secure, whereas on a house, you can get out of the deposit under certain conditions.
• Think about this amazing fact: God gave us His Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing that you have a place in heaven, that you have an inheritance in heaven. Now, that’s something to shout about!!
