He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” – 2 Peter 1:17
Some things you can do today with God’s name
- Human love is great and ordained by God. But God’s love is so much greater than any human lover ever could be.
- Meditate on the name that Father God has for Jesus, “My Son, Whom I love.”
- Think about how much the Father loves Jesus. Think about how difficult it must have been for the Father to watch all that Jesus had to go through when He was on earth. Imagine just standing by and watching one of your children be mistreated, knowing that you wouldn’t do anything to help him or her, because you had a plan. I can’t even imagine how hard that was for the Father.
- Thank Father God for His great love for His Son, Jesus, but also for you, His child.
