I charge you before God, who gives life to all things, and before the Messiah Yeshua, who in his witness to Pontius Pilate gave the same good testimony… – 1 Timothy 6:13 CJB
In this verse from the Complete Jewish Bible, Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus.
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- Meditate on this name today.
- Look around you to see where He has given life. I’m in a cabin in the mountains and can see so much life around me. It brings me so much enjoyment to see the deer, llamas, birds, even the mosquitoes, ants and the blur of white fur I saw scurry behind the barn tonight. I’m so glad God created so many different things with life in them.
- Thank Him for the life He has given you and your family.
- As you go through your day, thank Him for all the life you see around you—in plants, animals, flowers, people, birds, bugs, etc.
A Prayer for You
God, thank You for giving life to all things, especially to me, my family and friends. I can’t imagine what life would be like without all the living things around me. Teach me to enjoy Your creations more, recognizing Your hand in making each one.
