May the God who gives endurance and encouragement
give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:5-6

Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately:
• Meditate on this name. What does it mean to you that God gives endurance and encouragement?
• When I first became a single mom, I often wondered how could I possibly raise my four and ten-year-old sons alone. Growing up I only had sisters, so boys were foreign to me. When I tried to do it on my own, I got overwhelmed and discouraged. It was too hard. But when I turned to the Lord, He gave me endurance and encouragement. He always knew just what I needed.
• In what ways do you need endurance and encouragement today? Ask the Lord to give them to you.
• Write this verse, or at least the name, on a card or paper. Put it someplace where you’ll see it often. Throughout the day meditate on how God gives you endurance and encouragement. Be on the lookout for what He is doing. I’m sure we miss what He’s doing so often because we are too focused on ourselves and our problems.
A Prayer for You:
Father God, I need Your endurance and encouragement in my life. (Talk to Him about specific areas you need God’s help.) Thank You that You are the God Who Gives Endurance and Encouragement. I want to know You more and find all I need in You.

Blessings on you as you get to know God,
