1 Peter 5:8—Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Spiritual warfare is not a source of stress we often consider, yet it is very real. We have an enemy who “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
We need to recognize that Satan has a plan for our lives. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, according to John 10:10.
We must stand against Satan and not allow him to steal our joy (or anything else), to kill our ministries or destroy our families. We have resources to stand against the enemy, but sometimes we forget about them when we are in the midst of the battle. Some of your resources include:
- Putting on the armor of God every single day to protect yourself.
- All Stressed Up and Everywhere to Go is filled with practical, biblical resources you can use every day to help you in your spiritual warfare.
The more involved in ministry that you are, the more likely you are to be a target of the enemy. This doesn’t have to be a scary thought. It just means that you need to prepare yourself so that he doesn’t win. Jesus has already won the war, but sometimes we allow the enemy to win the battles.
What do you need to do today to keep the enemy from coming in to steal, kill and destroy you, your life, your family and/or your ministry?
