Focus on what is positive in your life

When we’re stressed, we often focus on the negatives in our lives. We need to learn to appreciate what we have, rather than always wanting more.

Make a list of all the good things in your life right now. They can be big things like getting a promotion, or something small like riding your bike this weekend. Having a visual of all the positives in your life helps lift you up.

I started my own list a couple of years ago. I now have over 1200 items on my list and it continues to grow! Whenever I’m feeling stressed or discouraged, I get out my list and add new positive details. You can keep a small notebook with you or use Evernote, like I do.
