This week I did a devotional on discovering joy at Reach Beyond (HCJB)

I briefly shared what I’ve learned about joy through my heartache and losses, including my middle son dying at six months and my fiancé being killed a month before we were to get married. I also shared many verses including:
Philippians 3:1, “Rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.”
Philippians 4:4, 6-8 (NLT): “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”
I encourage you to mediate on these verses. You can learn more about what I shared in the book, Keys to Joy.
