Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately:
- It would have been enough just to say that He is able to do all we ask. But the Holy Spirit wanted us to know that there is absolutely no limit to what He is able to do. His power goes infinitely beyond anything we can imagine. I don’t know about you, but I have a very good imagination. Yet God is able to do immeasurably more than you or I can imagine. Wow! I’m amazed at this thought. I hope you are too.
- This verse says God is able to do … Think about why God didn’t just say that He does more than we can ask or imagine. Do you think it could be because we have a choice whether or not we will let Him work in our lives? Meditate on that.
- Are you keeping God from doing any incredible things in your life? I’m sure there are times that I hold God back from doing what He wants, because I don’t have enough faith. How about you?
- Let your imagination run wild for a few minutes. What would you like God to do for you? Ask Him in faith.
A Prayer for You:
Thank You, Lord, that You are able to do immeasurably more than all I can ask or imagine. I want to see You do miracles in my life and through me. Increase my faith to trust You more and to believe that You really are able to accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think.
