The Riches

What do you think of when you see or hear the word, “Riches?” Do you think of lots of money? Would you like to have unlimited riches? Look at what the Apostle Paul prays for and you can pray too. These are great Bible verses to pray

Ephesians 3:16-17a—“I pray that out of his (God’s) glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” NIV

The Message says, “I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in.”

As you read these verses, meditate on each part of them and pray them:

  • The Father’s glorious riches
  • He will strengthen you
  • With power
  • Through His Spirit
  • In your inner being

Here’s a sample of how you can pray these verses for yourself (but this is definitely not the only way): Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You would strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ will dwell in my heart through faith.

Or to pray this for others you could say, Lord, I pray that out of Your glorious riches, You would strengthen _____ (insert person’s name) with power …..

Let me ask you, are you rich or are you getting rich? If not, why not?
