Where’s the Joy?

Excerpted from Keys to Joy: How to Unlock God’s Gift of Lasting Happiness

Read Galatians 5:22-23.

a.  What is the connection between the Holy Spirit and joy?

b.  Is this fruit automatic when you have the Spirit in you? Why or why not?

c.  Give an example to illustrate your answer to the previous question.

d.  How do we get the fruit of the Spirit? Do we have to work to produce it or does the Holy Spirit produce it when we are in connection with Him? Explain.

e.  How does John 15:1-8 add to your understanding of fruit? What does it say we need to do to produce fruit?

f.  If you don’t have all the qualities in Galatians 5:22-23, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal why you don’t have them and what you need to do. Then listen and do what He tells you.
