God’s Name of the Day:  The Christ of God, the Chosen One

Luke 23:35—The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.”

Some things you can do today with God’s name:

  • The King James version calls Jesus, “Christ, the chosen of God.”
  • Look at Matthew 12:18 to see what God says about Jesus being chosen.
  • “Chosen” comes from the Greek word meaning to select, make choice, or choose. Jesus was chosen of God to be the Christ, the Messiah. What does that mean to you today?
  • Try to put yourself into Jesus’ place. He came to save us, and this was how he was treated. What horrible pain, suffering and stress He went through. Learn more in All Stressed Up and Everywhere to Go! at www.Stress-management-tips.us.
